First Lesson?

Please turn in all paperwork before or on your child’s first day of class. Your child will not be allowed into class unless all paperwork is complete and turned into our office.

Children who are NOT 100% potty trained must wear TWO swim diapers. We call this doubling up. All non-potty trained students must wear a SEAL SWIM SCHOOL (washable/reusable) swim diaper over top of another (we recommend iPlay brand) washable/reusable swim diaper. This diaper is purchased at the time of registration. The Seal Swim School REUSABLE diaper can be washed however, we recommend you DO NOT put it in the dryer. If you forget either or both swim diapers we have them for sale in our office.

Swimmers and their families are to wait outside the gate until the swimmers class is called. Please be patient with us on the first day as it may take a few extra minutes out of “class time” to get all the little swimmers situated in their class.

During your little swimmers first lessons we will be making sure everyone is in the appropriate class level. If we have to move your child to a different class/teacher we will update you with any changes.

Please sit in the designated Seal Swim School viewing areas. Seal Swim School viewing is located at the EAST and WEST sides of the pool. The Seal Swim School chairs are white with a Seal Swim School logo on the back. Please leave all the lounge chairs clear for the Total Fitness Gym members. We share the pool/facility with Total Fitness Gym and some class times can be more crowded than others. It is imperative that we keep all the walkways clear and that NO parents walk behind the pool deck where we are teaching the lessons.

Parents may take pictures at any time. However, parents are NOT allowed directly on the pool deck. All pictures must be taken from the viewing areas. Personal underwater cameras are not permitted in class at any time.

We have a dry erase board on the gate with information regarding classes and the session. Please read the board before class every day.

The swim instructors and office staff create fun posters about themselves. We hang these along the wall every day for you and your child to look at and read before class.

We will bring all the children to the east end of the pool when class is finished. Please keep a very watchful eye on your children. No child is allowed to re-enter the pool when lessons are finished.

Seal Swim School has a snack cart with all kinds of fun goodies you may purchase for your child as a reward or even a “bribe”. If you have exact change please place it in the honor bucket. If you need change please purchase the goodies in the Seal Swim School office.  All retail items on the cart such as, kick boards, goggles etc MUST be purchased in the Seal Swim School office.
